We are pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew Feinberg to Partner in the firm’s Litigation Group and of Michelle Litteken to Counsel in our Government Contracts Group

Mr. Feinberg is an accomplished litigator with over a decade of experience in all aspects of state and federal civil and appellate litigation, in addition to alternative dispute resolution.  His advocacy for corporate clients – from small businesses to publicly traded companies – gives him a unique perspective on successful litigation strategies for achieving the best possible outcome for our clients.  “Matt is a gifted lawyer – thoughtful, clever, and tenacious,” said Managing Partner Pamela Mazza, adding “He is a tireless advocate for our clients who respect and appreciate Matt’s judgment, responsiveness, and practical approach.”

Mr. Feinberg has significant first-chair trial and appellate experience over a wide range of practice areas, including labor and employment, wage and hour disputes, corporate defense litigation, class actions, shareholder direct and derivative litigation, government and private sector contracts, commercial transactions, restaurant and hospitality litigation, and appeals.  He also represents and counsels clients involved in investigations conducted by the Department of Justice and other federal and state regulators and on matters relating to the False Claims Act.  Mr. Feinberg is among a small group of lawyers in the country who have represented a company in a successful appeal of a New York Stock Exchange delisting decision.  In addition to earning favorable verdicts, judgments, and settlements on behalf of clients, he is also adept at helping clients avoid litigation through counseling, consultation, and negotiation.  Clients in emerging and developing industries benefit from Mr. Feinberg’s ability to navigate complex federal and state laws and regulations, effectively communicate with investors and the public, and manage day-to-day business challenges.  Related practice-area focuses include Labor & Employment Law, Business & Transactions Law, False Claims Act, and Audits & Investigations.

Ms. Litteken represents the interests of government contractors in bid protests at the Government Accountability Office, the Court of Federal Claims, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in size and status protests at the Small Business Administration and the Office of Hearings and Appeals.  Ms. Mazza remarked, “Michelle is a tremendous asset to our firm.  0ur government contractor clients appreciate her ability to decode complicated situations and provide practical guidance.  We are pleased that she is part of our team.”

Clients from a broad range of industries, including construction, environmental remediation, healthcare, information technology, aerospace, and security, rely on Ms. Litteken’s legal acumen in conducting internal investigations, preparing claims, requests for equitable adjustment, and termination settlement proposals, as well as prosecuting contractor claims under the Contract Disputes Act at the Court and at the Boards of Contract Appeals.  She counsels government contractors on teaming agreements and subcontracts related to public contracts and represents clients in disputes that arise out of those agreements in both federal and state court, as well as arbitrations.  Furthermore, Ms. Litteken offers guidance to clients on matters involving security clearances and regulatory compliance, including potential organizational conflicts of interest and SBA’s HUBZone, Woman-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, and 8(a) programs.  Related practice-area focuses include Litigation and False Claims Act.
