Jon Williams, Partner in PilieroMazza’s Government Contracts and Cybersecurity & Data Privacy groups, was recently a featured speaker on SYNNEX’s webinar titled “Practical Asset Inventory Considerations To Get Ready For Cyber Security Maturity Model (CMMC) Certification.”
Starting in 2020, a big change was put in place for government contractors providing products and services to the Department of Defense (DOD). No longer will DOD accept cybersecurity “self-assessment” check box compliance for contract awards. Instead, DOD contractors and subcontractors will be required to obtain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which is already starting to appear in new requests for proposals and requests for information. It can take many weeks or months to identify and remediate cyber gaps and deficiencies in your cybersecurity program for CMMC. The time is now to assess your CMMC readiness and prepare to obtain the level of CMMC that you will need.
Jon spoke alongside Michelle Chapin, SYNNEX’s Director of Public Sector Partner Business Development; Randy Finley, SYNNEX’s Director of Business Development; and Mike Raymond, Federal Sales Manager at Ordr. Taking place on March 2, 2021, their discussion covered practical asset inventory considerations businesses should implement to prepare for CMMC.
