Bio
Zachary represents employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. His experience includes discrimination and whistleblower cases, trade secret, noncompete, and restrictive covenant disputes, as well as individual, class, and collective wage and hour actions. Zachary litigates employment cases before federal and state courts, the Department of Labor, and other administrative agencies across the country. He represents clients from a wide range of industries, including government and defense contractors.
Along with his litigation practice, Zachary counsels on employment matters, such as hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and leave and accommodation requests. He also provides advice and counsel on matters involving the following: discrimination, harassment, and whistleblower complaints; restrictive covenants; the protection of confidential, proprietary, and trade-secret information; reductions in force; and employment practices and policies. Zachary also assists employers with workplace investigations on a range of sensitive matters, and he advises on issues involving the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.
Before joining PilieroMazza, Zachary was an associate in the labor and employment practice of a leading international law firm and a global labor and employment law firm. Along with his experience in private practice, he brings secondment experience as in-house counsel for a large transportation company to deliver insights focused on clients’ legal and practical business needs.
Before entering private practice, Zachary served as a law clerk for Judge Joan Zeldon and Chief Judge Rufus King, III (retired), of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and was managing editor of the Catholic University Law Review.
