PilieroMazza is proud to announce that Meghan Leemon and Lauren Brier were promoted to Partner in the Government Contracts Group, the Firm’s largest practice group, effective January 1, 2024. Commenting on the new Partners, Practice Group Chair Cy Alba expressed that “Meghan and Lauren’s promotion demonstrates their exceptional skill, dedication, and commitment to excellence in the highly regulated field of government contracts law. Their unwavering efforts and contributions to PilieroMazza’s success have not only enriched our team but have also significantly enhanced our ability to deliver unparalleled legal services to our clients.”
Meghan consistently exhibits a deep understanding of the legal complexities inherent in small business government contracting rules and regulations. Her knowledge of these small business procurement matters—such as the SBA’s 8(a), SDVOSB/VOSB, WOSB/EDWOSB, and HUBZone programs—is instrumental in providing insightful counsel to PilieroMazza’s clients. Additionally, much of Meghan’s practice involves advocating for clients’ interests in SBA’s Mentor-Protégé program and assisting clients in forming joint ventures that are beneficial to meeting their business goals. She also assists clients with maintaining compliance requirements related to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and small business regulations. Meghan can be reached at mleemon@pilieromazza.com.
Lauren, as Chair of PilieroMazza’s Government Contract Claims & Appeals Team, embodies a steadfast dedication to excellence in all her endeavors. She is adept at counseling clients on requests for equitable adjustment (REAs), claims, and appeals. Her proficiency in addressing contract disputes, bid protests, and compliance matters has not only earned the trust of our clients but also positioned PilieroMazza as a leader in this specialized legal domain. Lauren’s practice also extends to defending clients in contract terminations, cure notice and show cause notice responses, constructive change claims, multiple award schedule (MAS) contract audits, suspension and debarment proceedings, mandatory disclosures, and other issues under the FAR and the Contract Disputes Act. Lauren can be reached at lbrier@pilieromazza.com.
