PilieroMazza is pleased to announce that Jason Blindauer has joined the Firm as an Associate in its Government Contracts Group. Mr. Blindauer provides practical, detail-oriented counsel on a wide array of government contracting matters. Tony Franco, Chair of the Government Contracts Group, remarked “Jay has an impressive body of work in the government contracts sector. Our clients will certainly benefit from his years of experience.”
Mr. Blindauer represents clients in bid protests, small business issues that include size and status protests, requests for equitable adjustment, claims, and claim appeals. His practice extends to assisting commercial businesses and government contractors in joint ventures, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and cybersecurity matters. He also counsels public and private entities on contract formation and administration.
Additionally, Mr. Blindauer advises on state and local procurement, as well as other government spending authorities, like grants or Other Transaction Authorities.
Mr. Blindauer previously served as Agency counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where he handled government contracts and Federal Tort Claims Act matters. Mr. Blindauer also served as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer, for which he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in OIF III.
