In 2023, the Department of Labor implemented the largest overhaul of the Davis-Bacon Act in over 40 years. For construction contractors employing laborers and mechanics in the construction industry, DOL’s changes will significantly affect how to determine prevailing wage rates, handle misclassifications, and expand the site of work, among other critical changes.
With more opportunities for work due to federal funding aimed at infrastructure, semiconductor plants, and clean energy projects, construction contractors need to comply with these changes in order to bid for and maintain contracts. This session explores the revamped DBA and will cover:
