Current Attorney Positions

Associate Attorney 2-4 years – Government Contracts (Washington, DC or Boulder, CO)

PilieroMazza PLLC, a business law firm serving government contractors and commercial businesses, is seeking an associate with two to four years of experience to join its Government Contracts practice group. The candidate should have law firm experience, preferably with government contracts and litigation matters. We represent contractors in bid protests, Contract Disputes Act claims, False Claims Act and other investigations, and litigation matters at the state and federal level. Applicants should be admitted to practice in or eligible for prompt admission into the District of Columbia. Maryland and/or Virginia admissions are encouraged. Associate Attorney – Government Contracts (Washington, DC or Boulder, CO)

The candidate for this position should have experience with bid protests, Contract Disputes Act claims and False Claims Act and other investigations, and should be able to counsel clients on a range of regulatory issues. Executive Legal Assistant (Litigation)

The Washington, DC office of PilieroMazza PLLC has an opening for an Executive Legal Assistant with experience to support several attorneys across our four practice groups: Government Contracting, Labor & Employment, Business & Corporate, and Litigation & Dispute Resolution. Qualified candidates must have a proven work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills, and substantive experience supporting attorneys in litigation matters, including assembly of pleadings and motions, general filing procedures for state and federal courts and local agencies, and compilation and preparation of exhibits. Successful candidates will be proficient in multi-tasking while prioritizing competing demands. Only inpiduals with three or more years of legal assistant experience and a college degree will be considered.

In addition to the duties listed above, this position also entails many administrative functions which include scheduling, proofing and formatting documents, inputting changes, preparing exhibits, maintaining attorney calendars, communicating with clients and other outside sources, occasional answering of telephones, transcription, billable time entry, and revising PowerPoint presentations. Legal Assistants also provide overflow assistance to other Assistants in the firm. It is critical that Assistants have strong computer skills and be extremely detail-oriented. Applicants should be proficient in the Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat (PDF). It is a requirement of the position that candidates possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including the ability to effectively use styles, cross referencing, auto-numbering, etc. Experience or familiarity with conflicts checks and setting up new clients and matters is a plus.
