The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee’s mission is to assist and advise PilieroMazza’s leadership and staff on developing a workplace and organizational culture that values the diversity of thought and perspective delivered by a diverse workforce operating within an equitable and inclusive environment. The DEI Committee is an essential and ongoing forum for originating and implementing DEI initiatives.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are principles that are integral to our firm-wide strategy, daily operations, and how we treat each other. The result of this emphasis is reflected in the makeup of both PilieroMazza’s attorney and professional staff populations. We strive to maintain an environment of mutual respect that not only leverages our collective differences for the development and success of our professionals, but also for the betterment of the clients we serve.
In this regard, PilieroMazza developed and implemented various programs designed to improve the employee experience. Our recently reconstituted Mentoring Program is up and running, and we’re diligently working to improve the quality of work-life for all our employees, paying close attention to our teamwork dynamic, continuing to monitor workloads among attorneys and staff so that they are more balanced, and reimagining what our future physical offices will look like. These current and future enhancements to the employee experience at PilieroMazza are designed to support the diverse needs of our professionals and to foster work-life balance. We also actively support affinity groups focused on advocating diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the legal profession. We strongly believe these values and initiatives translate into a work environment where professionals with different backgrounds and perspectives can engage and collaborate in interesting and satisfying work and realize their full potential.
