Bio
Abby is Practice Group Chair of PilieroMazza’s Business & Transactions Group. She brings to the Firm years of extensive experience in matters involving mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate finance, corporate governance, restructurings, and general corporate transactions. Clients from emerging growth private companies to publicly traded companies in a variety of industries, including government contracting, benefit from her creative, comprehensive, and thoughtful representation.
As a testament to Abby’s legal acumen, she spent a significant portion of her career serving as outside general counsel to emerging growth and mature private companies, acting as an extension of clients’ in-house legal departments. She advises clients on a wide range of matters, from short-term discrete projects, such as drafting and negotiating one-off shareholder or operating agreements, to long-term, more intricate commercial projects, such as M&A transactions.
Before joining PilieroMazza, Abby practiced at several large, national law firms. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, serving as production editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review and as a member of the National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team.
